The Mental Health awareness Campaign tagged to the Pacers 15s regional League season is aimed at making mental health talks comfortable among athletes, dangers of additions, suicide prevention and creating safe spaces for sharing.
Pacers played a total of 20 games a season and all the teams visited were engaged in Mental health talks after games. Pacers captain would leave a souvenir of the Mighty Mug to the fellow captain as a symbol and reminder to keep his and teammates well being in check.
A total of 10 mugs were given out to 10 teams in Central Uganda, its estimated that each team/ club has over 40 players, impacting on a total of over 400 athletes including the coaches and management.
