We deploy Physical activity and Sport as an essential tool for the implementation of SDG 3 that aims at Ensuring Healthy Lives and Promote Wellbeing for All, at all Ages; SDG 5 for Achieving Gender Equality and Empower all Women and Girls and SDG 4, which seeks to Ensure Inclusive and Equitable Quality Education and Promote Lifelong Learning Opportunities for All, humanity’s collective pursuit of sustainable development. Active lifestyles and Mental well-being are essential in the prevention of risks such as non-communicable diseases, as well as serve as a tool for Education on sexual, reproductive and other health issues.
Pacers Community Mental Health thrives on a number of MH activities, which include Peer to Peer and Group Counselling and Mental Health Awareness administered during Sports events. Schools and conferences are a vehicle to attaining comprehensive Mental Health Hygiene in our community, which has played a pivotal role in shaping the attitudes of young people on topical health issues such as drug use, addictions and combating stereotyping around Mental Health.
