Its was a moment of mixed feeling as the lady pacers emerged 2nd at the Kabaka Coronation Rugby 7s 2024 hosted at Muteesa II Stadium Wankulukuku on 3rd August 2024.
The event which not only celebrated the sport of rugby but also underscored our commitment to social causes such as the fight against AIDS and supporting the girl child.
As Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II, celebrates his 31st year since coronation, URU and its partners we were excited to celebrate the historic feat at an event that will showcased the vibrant culture of Buganda through traditional dances, music and sport. The tournament included activities designed to raise awareness about AIDS prevention and support for the girl child, in line with the tournament’s theme, a theme which has also been championed by Buganda Kingdom.
Pacers lost the final to Avengers RFC 5:7 point to finish 2nd and walk away with second position prize money of 1.5m Uganda Shillings.
